Antonino Cerniglia

Antonino Cerniglia, 97, of West Lawn, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Mifflin Center. His wife, Santa Maria (Torcivia) Cerniglia, passed away in 2006.

Born in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, he was the son of the late Ignazio and Francesca Cerniglia. Antonino worked on his family's farm in Italy and later as a presser for Talbots in Reading.

Antonino was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. He loved to garden and watch western movies.

Survivors include two brothers-in-law, Letterio (Rosalia) Torcivia of Wyomissing and Antonino R. Cuva (Antonina Torcivia) of West Lawn; two nieces, five nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Antonino was predeceased by his siblings, Joe, Biagio, and Theresa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10: 00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading, with entombment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, to follow. The viewing will be held Thursday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. West Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
