Anthony F. Stubler, 93, of Villa St. Elizabeth, formerly of Reading, died March 25, 2011, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
His wife, Jeannette (Becker) Stubler, died in 1986.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Frances (Planic) Stubler.
He was a 1935 graduate of Reading Catholic High School.
Anthony was employed as a plumber for Wilmer Fisher Plumbing, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church.
Anthony was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps serving during WWII and the Korean conflict.
He was a trustee for the Monarch A.A., Reading.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, District Judge Deborah P., wife of Angelo J. Lachina, Reading; two grandchildren, Lisa Filippini and Antoinette Reinert and two great-grandchildren, Tony Filippini and Aislin Reinert. Numerous cousins and his companion Virginia Manel also survive him.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Stubler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of Resurrection. Burial will be in the adjoining Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Chapel. Contributions may be made to St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, 925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601. Edward J.
