Anthony Sedoti

Anthony Sedoti, Jr., 89, formerly of Exeter Township and Country Meadows, Wyomissing died June 6, 2012, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Anthony, Sr., and Angelina (Ferris) Sedoti.

He was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School.

Anthony served in the U.S. Army for three years during WWII in a tank battalion. His last rank was that of Corporal.

He was employed from 1950 to 1983 by CarTech as a plant operator.

In his younger years he was an avid roller skater and competed in local skating tournaments. He also enjoyed bowling and played in several leagues in the area.

Anthony was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his brother, Eugene, wife of Dawn Sedoti, Exeter Township and his three sisters, Antoinina Sedoti, Cumru Township, Mary A. Varone, and Josephine, wife of Russell Magazzu, all of Exeter Township. Known as "uncle" to his 13 nieces and nephews, he will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by two siblings, Charles Sedoti and Consetta Chinnici.

Anthony had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Always the gentleman, his humor was fun loving and never hurtful to anyone.

He loved to sing and will be remembered by his Country Meadows family for his booming voice and ability to sing old songs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
