Anthony S. Sedoti

Anthony S. Sedoti, 88, of Reading, died July 1, 2011 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he was a patient since June 18th. Born April 1, 1923 in his Reading residence, he was a son of the late Tindoro and Felicia (Capadona) Sedoti. He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Anthony co-founded Reading Importing in 1946, retiring in 1972, when Reading Importing and Salino's Importing merged the two family businesses. He was a life member of Victor Emmanuel II Society, Reading, the Liberty Relief Fire Association, and the Liberty Travelers. Anthony is survived by four nieces: Jacqueline wife of Rodney Auman; Carol Reister, Sandra wife of Rodney Shappell; and Patricia wife of Richard Cirulli. Other survivors include four great nieces and a great nephew; and seven great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings: Bessie Salino, Joseph Sedoti and Theresa Diamont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 3rd & Franklin Streets, Reading. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 8:00 am until 9:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
