Anthony J. Nigrelli, age 92, of Whitfield, PA passed away on Dec. 10, 2021.
He was married for 66 years to Frances J. (Feick) Nigrelli, his devoted loving wife and best friend.
Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Marion (Albert) Nigrelli.
He was employed for 34 years by Metropolitan Edison Company and the GPU Service Corporation, retiring in 1990 as Administration Manager of the GPU Power Supply Group.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving four years in both the United States and England.
Anthony was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Roman CC since 1965.
He attended Reading High School and was a 1957 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Anthony was active with the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Hawk Mountain Council – Boy Scouts of America for several years, and with the United Way Campaign of Berks County.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and best friend. He loved spending time with his family and three grandchildren.
He enjoyed playing tennis and loved going to the casinos to play poker.
Anthony led a rich and loving life. He personified the values of integrity, honor, and respect to those around him. He will be greatly missed.
He was survived by a daughter Lisa, wife of Timothy Patrizi, and a son Anthony J. Nigrelli Jr., husband of Pamela (Ricketts). Other survivors include three grandchildren: Jonathan Patrizi, and Amanda and Jennifer Nigrelli. He also had many nieces and nephews.
A prayer service, private for family members only, will be celebrated Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of St. George of Gethsemane Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Entombment will be made in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman CC Memorial Fund, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
Kuhn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
