Anthony "Pinky" W. Cartwright, 83, life-long native of Hamburg, passed away during the early hours of Monday, September 19, 2022, in the care of St. Luke's Hospital of Bethlehem.
Born to the late Clarence and Esther (Rubright) Cartwright, Pinky attended the Hamburg School District. At 21 he began driving truck, and through his career, he drove for North Penn, Peter Brothers, and Madera Trucking companies.
Pinky was a lifetime member of the Hamburg Rod and Gun Club. He collected model trucks and pickups, and his enthusiasm for pickup trucks extended to the full size as well.
Left to treasure his memory is his partner of over 30 years, Joan Turner; his daughter, Cynthia Britton, widow of William Britton, of Oley; grandchildren: Jessie Wolfe of Schuylkill Haven; Jennifer Wolfe of Reading; Jamie Wolfe of Schuylkill Haven; and Pamela Henninger of Hamburg; great grandchildren: Sage, Kendra, Xavier, Michael, Mia, Nevaeh, Marisal, and Cameron; and his former wife of over 20 years, Valeda Cartwright. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his two brothers, sister, and his great grandchildren, Brendan, Cassian, Cassidy, and Jameson.
