Anthony J. Baldassar, 82, passed away July 12, 2012, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Anna (Christgnana) Baldassar.
He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.
Anthony was an U.S. Army veteran, serving as Sargent in the 47th infantry during the Korean Conflict. He was an instructor for military tank operation.
He was employed as a manager for Boscov's East for many years.
Anthony's true passion was working as an antique dealer.
He is survived by two daughters: Debra J., wife of Thomas F. Talarico Sr., Robesonia and Toni Jean Baldassar, Reading; six grandchildren: Brock, Angie, Crystal, Tommy, Toby, and Nikki, and six great grandchildren: Mia, Emily, Jordan, John, Frankie and Bella.
Anthony was predeceased by six siblings: Rose, Dominic, Anna, Joseph, Mary, and John.
A Memorial Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 1110 Snyder Road Reading, PA 19609. A visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God at the above address. Edward J.
