Anthony N. Agatone

Anthony Nicholas Agatone, Sr., 89, of Spring Township, died January 11, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was married August 13, 1970 to Mary (Medaglia) Agatone.

Born June 9, 1919 in Clifton Heights, Delaware County, he was a son of the late Olindo and Angelina (Coralere) Agatone.

He was a 1937 graduate of Clifton Heights High School, where he served as the class president.

Anthony was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

Anthony was employed 19 years with the Liquor Control Board, retiring as a manager in 1981.

He is also survived by a son, Anthony N., Jr., husband of Theresa (Strauser) Agatone of Lansdale, Montgomery County.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, with Msgr. Felix Losito celebrating. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
