Anne M. Rowan, 98, of Montrose Manor, passed away at The Residence at Village Greens, where she had resided since January.

Her husband, Joseph T. Rowan, passed away on September 22, 1995. Joe and Anne married in St. Patrick's RCC, Pottsville in 1948 and enjoyed 47 years of marriage.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Claude L. and Marguerite C. (Quinn) Zwiebell.

She graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School in 1944. Before marrying and raising her family she worked at The Music Mart in Pottsville.

Her faith was very important to Anne. She was a longtime member of St. John Baptist de la Salle RCC, Shillington, where she helped initiate the Primetimers Sr. Group.

Anne was so proud of her five children: Joanne M. (John) Carlson, Coatesville; Kathleen M. (Charles) Bauers, Minersville; Joseph R. Rowan, McDonough, GA; David J. (Celeste) Rowan, N. Wildwood, NJ; and Betsy M. (Steven-deceased) Hollenbach, partner of Robert D'Amica, Hillsborough, NJ. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren: Chuck (Beth) Bauers and children: Bryce and Alaina; Erin (Carlson) married to Tony Scheivert and children: Alison, Emma, and Katie; Megan (Carlson) married to David Murray and children: Matthew, Jack, and Conor; Bob (Jenn) Bauers and son, Eoin; Aileen (Carlson) Rowan and children: Hannah and Toby; Kevin (Madison) Hollenbach and children: Halston and Hollis; Brian (Katie) Hollenbach and daughter, Lainey; Courtney Rowan; Andrew Rowan; Dana Hollenbach (Brandon-fiance); Maggie Rowan; and Kylie Rowan.

She was predeceased by her brother, Claude Zwiebell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. John's RCC, Shillington, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org. Edward J.
