Anne Piro

Anne (San Giacomo) Piro, 98, of Wyomissing, died October 3, 2010, in Reading Hospital.

Her husband, Ernest R. Piro, died August 31, 1984.

Born in Nutley, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Mazza) San Giacomo.

Anne was a skilled multiply talented homemaker.

She was involved in various civic, church and social activities in Nutley, NJ.

She was the oldest living season ticket holder to the New York Giants games. Anne was a season ticket holder since 1939.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Piro, with whom she resided and Patricia E., wife of Nelson H. Long, Wyomissing; two grandchildren, Melissa, wife of Thomas Leonard and Douglas, husband of Aubrey Long; three great-grandchildren, Brennan Long, Gavin Long and Allison Leonard; a sister, Theresa Brunn, Nutley, NJ.

Anne was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph San Giacomo, Anthony San Giacomo and Michael San Giacomo; three sisters, Janet Stiles, Rose Maloney and Bridget Lambiase.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Whitfield, PA 19609. Graveside services will be in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ. at 12:30 p.m. Friends may call Wednesday form 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Edward J.
