Anne Beetel

The Beetel family is sad to announce the passing of Anne H. Beetel on December 6, 2025, at the age of 88 due to natural causes. Anne was born in Annapolis, MD to Charles Slade and his wife, Martha Slade. Anne graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ in 1957. Anne began her nursing career working as the floor nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton. It was at St. Francis Hospital where she met her husband of more than 60 years, Christopher J. Beetel, MD. Anne continued her nursing career throughout her life. She last worked alongside her husband in his medical practice.

Anne was a devoted and active member of St. Ignatius Loyola parish in West Lawn for over fifty years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and other school programs. Anne is pre-deceased by her late husband, Christopher J. Beetel, MD, who passed away in 2024. Anne is survived by her four children: Kathleen Hanrahan (Patrick), Mary Ann Moffitt (John), Thomas C. Beetel (Amy) and Christopher P. Beetel (Cathleen). In addition, Anne is survived by her ten grandchildren: Brigid and Seamus Hanrahan, Annie Pichi (Alexander), John Paulik (Meredith), Ellie and Caroline Beetel, and Madelynn, Sarah, Christian and Riley Beetel. Her many hobbies over the years included painting, piano, tennis and horseback riding.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this time. There will be a private funeral mass and burial for the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
