Anne G. Goldberg

Anne G. (Curry) Goldberg, of Mohnton, died peacefully on October 3, 2008, in hospice care at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center with a close friend by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Melvin Goldberg, who died on May 10, 2003.

Born in McAdoo, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Mary Ellen (Brennan) Curry.

Anne was a graduate of Bloomsburg State College where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Education.

She taught for seven years in McAdoo School District and then taught fifth grade for twenty years in West Reading for Wyomissing Area School District until 1977.

Anne was a member of St. John Baptist De La Salle R.C. Church, Shillington.

She is survived by her brother, Leonard Curry of Birmingham, MI; one step-son, two step-grandchildren, 20 nieces and nephews, and numerous grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and six brothers.

Anne was a beautiful and fun-loving individual who made people laugh. She was admired and loved by her family, friends and students.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist De La Salle R.C. Church, Shillington. Burial will follow the services in St. Patrick's Cemetery, McAdoo.
