Anna Jennie Toth Wasik, 96, formerly of Reading and resident of Country Meadows, Wyomissing, PA, passed away on November 15, 2013 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Anna Wasik was born May 20, 1917 in Northampton, Pennsylvania. She was a daughter of the late John A. and Anna (Safar) Toth who immigrated to the United States from Hungary. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Walter James Wasik.
A true homemaker, Anna also worked in the production office for Penn Optical of Reading, PA. She was a member of St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, Reading.
Anna is survived by her sons: James Anthony, husband of Donna (Vize) of Cherry Hill, NJ; and Walter Frank., husband of Christina (Buzzanca), Reading. Also surviving are her sister, Alice (Robert) Loy, Wernersville, Pa; five grandchildren: William J. (Susan) Wasik of Morgantown, West Virgina, Theresa (Brian) Kachel of Mohnton, Elizabeth J. Wasik of Cherry Hill, NJ, Michelle L. Wasik (Keith Beck) of Reading and Wendi L. Wasik (Howard Brownstein) of Villanova, PA, five great-grandchildren and a host of much loved nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be private in St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church Cemetery. A Quiet Mass of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,November 23, 2013 at St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, 20 St. Stephen's Church Lane., Reading, PA 19607.
