Anna Smyk

Anna (Mucha) Smyk, 81, of 110 Jefferson Street, Muhlenberg Township was pronounced dead of natural causes on September 30th at 11:15a.m. by the Berks County Coroners Office.

She was the widow of Harry Smyk who died July 5, 1967.

Born in Williamstown, Dauphin County she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Tewis) Mucha.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, Pa 19605.

Smyk is survived by two daughters, Anne Mae (Jones) wife of Melvin Halter of Newark, Delaware and Kathy A. (Smyk) wife of Mark S. Greenberg of Robbinsville, New Jersey.

Other survivors include a sister, Elizabeth (Mucha) widow of Andrew Walcott of Branchdale, Pa., and two brothers, Stephen Mucha of Swedesboro, New Jersey and Joseph Mucha of El Paso, Texas.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Smyk was predeceased by a daughter, Rae Jones who died June 29, 1960.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Viewing Friday 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Williamstown, Dauphin County. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
