Anna May Reeser

Anna May Reeser, 89 of Reading, died September 4, 2008 at 4:10 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services, Sinking Spring, where she had been a resident since 2001.

Born April 29, 1919 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Luke M. Brossman and Helen Elizabeth (Beyerle) Brossman Keough.

Anna was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a clerk in the cosmetics department of the former Pomeroy's Department Store in Reading for 33 years, retiring in 1986.

Anna was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Reading, where she was a sunday school teacher for many years.

Surviving are her two sons, L. Scott, husband of Sharon J. (Bare) Reeser of Temple and Richard D., husband of Dianne M.(Camilli) Reeser of Harrisburg.

In addition there are five grandchildren, Christopher, David and Timothy Reeser and Wendy Moore and Susan Hartzell.

There are also five great-grandchildren, Drew, Isabella, Adam, Kimberly and Tyler.

Anna was predeceased by a great-granddaghter, Savannah; two brothers, Luke and Harold Brossman and a sister Ruth Brossman.

Services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be Charles Evans Cemetery.
