Anna L. (Lesagonicz) Mastrangelo, 95, of Wernersville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019, at StoneRidge Poplar Run Nursing Home, Myerstown. Born March 14, 1923, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Sophia (Balik) Lesagonicz. She was married to John B. Mastrangelo, Wernersville, and together they truly celebrated an incredible 59 years of marriage.
Anna was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School, and worked for many years at the Berkshire Knitting Mills and Palmer Candy Company. But by far, her greatest devotion was to her family, and she was a terrific homemaker, mom and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with John to amazing places, and was very active in her church, St. Francis de Sales RC Parish, Robesonia. Always active in life, Anna truly enjoyed dancing and swimming as a young woman.
In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by daughter Lisa Ann Mastrangelo, Pembroke Pines, Fla, sons Harold L. Drexel, husband of Teresa, Mohnton, and James D. Drexel, husband of Sandra, Wernersville. She is also survived by the true lights of her life, her grandchildren: James, Melissa and Jenna Drexel, Carlos and Chiara Cava, Holly Reichardt, Angela McKerns; and her great grandchildren: Elizabeth Mohn and Alexander McKerns. Also surviving is a sister, Helen, Reading.
Anna was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Paul, Michael and Frank; and sisters Mary, Catherine and Sophie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anna, Saturday, January 12, at 10:00 am, at the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, followed by her entombment. Friends may call Friday evening, January 11, from 6-8 pm, and Saturday from 9-9:30am at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple.
