Anna May Kern, 72, Temple, died of natural causes Sept. 21 at 9:40 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.
She was the wife of John B. Kern.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Tazik) Doleniak.
Kern was employed for many years by various local knitting mills until her retirement.
She is also survived by a son, Mark R., Reading; and a daughter, Kim L. (Kern) Hildebrandt, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include a brother, Steve Doleniak, Shillington; and two sisters, Mary (Doleniak) Pizzo, Tuckerton. and Rose Keener, Shartlesville.
There are also four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son, James W. Spannuth, on Tuesday.
Memorial services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday at the Kuhn Funeral Home.
