Anna M. Hemerly

Anna M. Hemerly, 93 of Hamburg died September 16, 2018 in the Orwigsburg Center. She was the widow of Harold J. Hemerly who died August 5, 1999. Anna was born in Lenhartsville and was the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie (Seip) Kershner. She was a 1942 graduate of Hamburg High School and was a member of the First United Church of Christ. Anna worked for many years at Wright's Knit Wear as a machine operator retiring in 1986. She was a former member of Easter Star, Kutztown Chapter. Anna was a loving wife and mother and a wonderful homemaker and baker. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey husband of Lorrie Hemerly, Hamburg, and a brother, Norman Kershner, Tilden Township and was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Paul and Stanley Kershner and Esther Biehl, Effie Wagner, Mabel Himmelberger and Verna Heffner. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg with a viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
