Anna E. Grant

Anna E. Grant, 84, of Reading, died January 2, 2008 in Reading Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the day.

Her husband, Richard S. Grant, died November 25, 1980. They were married for 36 years.

Born on March 31, 1923, in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Annie (O'Neill) Smith.

She was employed by Western Electric for 14 years retiring in 1970.

Anna was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Millmont.

Survivors include one son, Richard W. Grant, Reading; and one daughter, Patricia A. wife of Samuel C. Geddio, Reading. There is one brother, George husband of Edna Varnum, Arlington, MA. Three grandchildren, Marc husband of Michelle Geddio; Michelle wife of Bernie Anton and Michael Geddio; and seven great-grandchildren, Samuel, Jack, Christian, Owen, Sophia, Gabriel and Joseph also survive her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Edward J.
