Anna Jane Carr

Anna Jane (Wentzel) Carr, 81, of Laureldale, died May 12, 2009 in her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of Frank R. Carr who died in 1997. She was also predeceased by a son, Benny Carr.

Born October 3, 1927 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Bolton) Wentzel.

Anna was employed by Bortz Chocolate Inc. and by Izod as a packer in the golf and tennis department.

Surviving are four children: Cynthia Ann Isett of Muhlenberg Township; Andrew A., husband of Robbi D. (Albright) Carr of Laureldale; Jack Carr and his companion Danita Mealey of Temple; and Susan A. (Carr), wife of Danny Roberts of South Salem, OH.

In addition there is a brother Thomas Wentzel of Exeter Township surviving.

Other survivors include six grandchildren: April Benjy, husband of Dana; Tasha; Chad; Rachel and Daniel and 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Saul, Katie, Benjy and Alexis.

Anna was predeceased by two sisters, Fern (Wentzel) Eyrich and Ida (Wentzel) Faust and three brothers, Bud Wentzel, Robert Wentzel and Arthur Wentzel.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday at 6 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
