Ann B. Rearden

Ann B. Rearden, 79, died December 6, 2008 in her Maidencreek Twp. residence.

She was a devoted wife and caretaker to her husband of 56 years, Paul D. Rearden, who died May 21, 2007.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Bernard F. and Anna C. (Stahl) Richards.

Ann was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic in 1946.

She was the school secretary for St. Margaret's Parochial School for 30 years retiring in 1994. She also served as the phys. ed. teacher for a number of years.

Ann was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, where she coached the CYO girls basketball team.

She is survived by her three children, Paul D., husband of Mary, Bethlehem; Bernard P., husband of Sandra, Raleigh, NC and Eileen M. Rearden, at home. There are five grandchildren and seven great-granchildren. Three grand-dogs, Clancy, Riley and Duffy also survive her.

Ann was predeceased by a brother, Luke Richards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
