Ann Marie Coll

Sister Ann Marie Coll, 80, of the Bernardine Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, died of natural causes on Saturday evening, September 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Villa, Reading, PA, where she had resided since 2014.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis L. and Anna (Mitchell) Coll.

Sister Ann Marie entered the Bernardine Sisters Congregation on June 26, 1963, and was in her 62nd year of religious life.

Sister earned a BA in Elementary Education from Alvernia College, an MA in Early Childhood Education from Widener University, a National Montessori Teaching Certificate, and an Avila Institute of Gerontology Geriatric Spiritual Care Certificate. She served her ministry in Pennsylvania as an elementary school teacher, Montessori teacher and directress, assistant to the local minister, and catechist.

Sister is survived by the members of her Bernardine Franciscan Congregation. There are no surviving immediate family members.

Viewing at St Joseph Villa, Reading, PA on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Mass on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Convent Chapel, Reading, PA followed by burial in the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters' Cemetery, Mount Alvernia. Reading, PA.
