Ann-Louise (Focht) Wanner, 79, of Spring Township, passed away October 17, 2014 in Reading Hospital.
She was the wife of Richard J.Wanner. They were married for 61 years.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Gothie) Focht.
She was a graduate of Kutztown University earning a Master's degree in English.
Ann-Louise was employed by Wilson High School for 25 years as a teacher of Honors English, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
Ann-Louise was a dedicated teacher and you would often hear her say she loved her students. She also loved gardening and flowers, but most of all her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, William R., Reinholds, Stephen R., husband of Catherine, Bernville, Sharon A., wife of Terry L. Heckman, Muhlenberg Township, and Lois A., wife of
Charles Shelton, Womelsdorf; her sister, Kathleen DiTorrice, N. Brunswick, NJ; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 am in St. Ignatius RC Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
