Ann C. Hafer, 77 of Hamburg died April 5 th in St. Joseph's Hospital, Bern
Township. She was the wife of Charles J. Hafer to whom she was married for 55
years. Ann was born in Pottsville and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Marian R. (Cooper) Longhenry. Ann graduated from St. Clair High School in 1958 and was a faithful member
of St. John's Church, Port Clinton for 55 years where she was a former choir member. Ann was an administrative assistant for 30
years working for her husband, Charles J. Hafer, Public Accountant in Hamburg.
Ann dearly loved her children, grandchildren and her dog, "Wally". Â
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Nathan D. Hafer, Auburn, a daughter, Lori A.
wife of Mark Blum, Pottstown, four grandsons, Benjamin C. Hafer, Hamburg, Andrew L.,
Daniel C. and Jack J. Blum all of Pottstown, a granddaughter, Megan J. Hafer, Auburn, brothers, John husband
of Lorraine Longhenry, Blooming Grove, Elmer J. Longhenry, Lords
Valley, sister Paula wife of Robert Lasky, Lords Valley and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ann was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Schaffer and a brother, Joseph Longhenry. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church, 36
Penn Street, Port Clinton, 19549. A visitation will be held from 9:00
to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to
St. John's Church PO Box 102, Port Clinton. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge
