Ann E. Gogluizza

Ann E. Gogluizza, 74, passed away peacefully in her Sinking Spring residence surrounded by her family on January 25, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Gogluizza Sr., with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Born on September 19,1942 in Reading, Ann was the daughter of the late Elsie Snyder.

After raising her three children she went to work full time at J & A Sales Inc., a business she owned with her husband for over 35 years.

She will be remembered for her outgoing personally, her caring nature and her love of life.

In her free time she cherished spending time with her family and friends. She also loved going to Penn National Race Course to bet on the horse races.

Ann was advocate and large contributor to the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Joseph A. Gogluizza Jr. and his wife Denise, Exeter Township; Anthony M. Gogluizza, Hamburg; and Lisa A. Hill, Sinking Spring. She is also survived by grandchildren who affectionately called her Mimi, Daniel Hill and his wife Adrienne; Dr. Nicole Hermansader and her husband Nicholas; Dr. Brittany Gogluizza; Tyler Gogluizza and fiancée Meghan; Stephan Hill and his wife Hannah; and Amanda Hill. And her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Dominic and Lily. Her surviving siblings are, Diane Schropp and husband William; Faye Cafoncelli and partner Rick Oakes; Sue Umbenhower and husband Clark; Mark Snyder and wife Barbara; Philip Snyder and wife Kathy.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
