Ann Joan (Donnelly) Cashin, 59, of 304 Dorchester Avenue, Spring Township, died January 13th at 6:35 a.m. in Solan Kettering Hospital, Manhattan, New York where she had been for five weeks.
Born in Ipswich, England she was a daughter of Joan (Ratliff) Donnelly of Middlesex, New Jersey and the late Robert Donnelly.
She was a 1962 graduate of Mount St. Mary's Academy (Plainfield, N.J.) and a 1992 graduate of Reading Area Community College.
Cashin worked as a Psychiatric Aide in the Wernersville State Hospital for 24 years last working October 2002.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church.
Cashin was a volunteer at Mary's Shelter, Reading for a number of years.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl E. Cashin of Jamaica Plain, Mass., and two sons, Edward A. of Amagansctt, New York and Kyle A. of New York, New York.
Other survivors include a brother, Michael Donnelly of Middlesex, N.J. and a sister, Maureen Gaboda of Whitehouse Station, N.J.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring. Viewings Friday evening 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mary's Shelter 325 South 12th Street, Reading, Pa 19602.
