Angelo P. Promutico, 87, of Reading, passed away May 13, 2014 in ManorCare Sinking Spring.
He was the husband of Patricia A. (Baker) Promutico.
Born April 29, 1927 in Reading he was a son of the late Enrico and Lucia (DiPietrantonio) Promutico.
He was the co-owner of Henry and Sons, Millmont, retiring in 1992.
Angelo was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.
He enjoyed going to the track and playing poker.
Angelo was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII during the Battle of the Bulge.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother, Frank Henry, husband of Louise Promutico, Reading. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Enrico, Antoinette, Lisa, Dino, Marc, Ricky, Daniel, Teresa, Joe, Chris, and Rebecca Promutico; and Maria and Anthony Sellari.
Angelo was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Promutico and his sister, Pauleen Sellari.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or to the charity of your choice.
