Angelina Santana

Angelina "Angie" Santana Rivera, 70, of Reading passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 26, 2015, in Reading Hospital.

Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Dominico Rivera Roldan and Maria Medina Carrion.

She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.

Angie was employed by SFS as a machine operator for eight years and later by Linette Candies as a supervisor for 25 years.

She loved to spend her time going to the casinos, cooking and gardening. Above all else her family was most important to her; she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and making sure everyone around her was taken care of.

Angie is survived by her daughters, Miriam, wife of Luis Figueroa Sr., Sinking Spring; Evelyn Santana, Reading; Linda, wife of Mark Greenwood, Lompoc, CA; Millie, widow of David McFarland Sr., Reading; Erica Santana, fianceé of Rafael Rodriguez, Wyomissing. She is also survived by her siblings, Maria Lebron, Domingo Rivera, Aurea Esther Rivera, Pedro Julio Rivera, Domingo Rivera Torres, Carmen M. Rodriguez, Luis Edwin Lebron; grandchildren, Luis A., Jared A., Joelle A. and Jalen A. Figueroa; Leann Rojas, David L. Jr. and Ryan M. McFarland; Kristine and Katelyn Greenwood, Marina Morales; Xaira, Isyss, and Armani Arguinzoni ; great grandchildren, Mia McFarland, Luis Jr. and Devin Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved caretaker, Debbie Colon.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Lydia Rivera, Julia Rivera, Herman Rivera, Enrique Rivera, Emilio Benitez, Dolores Rivera, and Pedro Rivera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peter's R.C.C. 322 S. 5th St, Reading, PA 19602.
