Andrew R. Smith

Andrew R. Smith, 16, of Sinking Spring died June 21st in Cancun, Mexico.

Born on September 1, 1989. he was the son of Harry and Nancy Smith.

Andrew had just completed his sophomore year at Wilson High School, where he played Varsity Football and Track. He was a silver medalist in the discus at the countywide Shaner track meet.

He leaves behind a brother Shawn, his maternal grandparents John and Rose Kaessinger of Wyomissing, and a paternal grandmother Ardele Smith of Sinking Spring.

Andrew is also survived by aunts and uncles, Mitch and Diane Dresdner of Chantilly, VA, Anthony and Mary Scrocca of Branchburg, NJ, and Mark and Joan Slagus of Branchburg, NJ. He also is survived by cousins Rachel, Stephen, Brian, Zach, and Beau.

He is predeceased by cousin Michael Scrocca.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 1:00 pm in St. Ignatius RCC Church, 28812 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring. Viewings are Sunday from 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Edward J.
