Andrew Van Kouteren

Andrew Van Kouteren, 79, died Jan. 2 at 11:40 p.m. in his residence in Sinking Spring.

He was the husband of Frances J. Van Kouteren.

Born in Paterson, N.J., he was a son of the late Bartholomew and Jenny Van Kouteren.

Van Kouteren was employed for 17 years as a sales representative by the City Publishing Co., Independence, Kan., retiring in 1992.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Van Kouteren was a graduate of Fairleigh-Dickinson University, Rutherford, N.J., with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

He is also survived by a son, Steve, Santa Fe, N.M.; and a daughter, Valerie (Van Kouteren) Kreider, Sinking Spring.

Other survivors include a brother, Jerry, Hawthorne, N.J.; and a sister, Theresa (Van Kouteren) Fett, North Haledon, N.J.

There is also a granddaughter.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra (Van Kouteren) Zember, in 1993.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
