Andrew Van Kouteren

Andrew Van Kouteren, 79 died January 2 at 11:40 p.m. in his Sinking Spring residence.

He was the husband of Frances J. Van Kouteren.

Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Bartholomew and Jenny Van Kouteren.

He was employed as a sales representative for City Publishing Company, Independence, KS for 17 years until his retirement in 1992.

Van Kouteren was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Van Kouteren was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ earning a BA degree in Business Administration.

Other survivors include one son Steve, Santa Fe, NM and one daughter, Valerie (Van Kouteren) Kreider. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra(Van Kouteren)Zember, who died in 1993.

Van Kouteren is also survived by one brother Jerry, Hawthorne, NJ, and one sister Theresa (Van Kouteren)Fett, North Halden, NJ. He was predeceased by one sister Hilda (Van Kouteren)Jansen.

Other survivors include one granddaughter Hannah Kreider, Sinking Spring, PA.

Services will be private. Contributions may be made to the First Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 2200 State Hill Road, Wyomissing, PA 19610. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc.,West Reading, is in charge of the arrangements.
