Andrew S. Harp

Andrew Samuel Harp, 70, died September 3, 2007 in his Reading residence.

He was married May 26, 1962 to Rose Marie (Krause) Harp.

Born May 9, 1937 in Birdsboro, he was a son of the late Andrew R. and Lillian C. (Hoyer) Harp.

He was a Navy Veteran.

Andrew worked as number of years as a foundry worker with Aluminum Alloys, Sinking Spring.

He later worked as a security guard with SGI Security, Wyomissing.

Andrew was a member of the Victor Emmanuel Club.

He enjoyed watching his grandchildren race go carts at Shelhammers in Leesport.

Andrew also loved playing with his baby granddaughters and three dogs.

He is also survived by four children, Michael A. husband of Sherri J. Harp of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Jennie M. wife of Philip L. Gladfelter Jr., of Lititz, James L. husband of Shannon Harp of Reading and Pam wife of Steve Romano of Reading.

Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Services will be Thursday at 2:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help pay final expenses.
