Andres Guzman Ortiz

Andres Guzman Ortiz, 100, passed away in his Reading residence on Friday, December 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Virgenmina Colon who passed away in 1984.

Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Claudino Guzman Colon and Tomasa Ortiz Alvarado. Andres was a very hardworking man who always provided for his wife and family. He liked to play dominoes and enjoyed taking care of his property.

Andres is survived by a daughter, Nelly Guzman Colon, wife of Elizander Vargas; daughter-in-law Carmen Velez-Guzman; grandsons: Christopher Vargas, Andy Guzman, and Jondre Guzman; granddaughters: Elianer Vargas, Angelica Guzmán-Pagan, and Ariana Guzmán; and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Virgenmina, he was predeceased by son, Andres Guzman-Colon and daughter, Lydia Batista.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm in Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 5153 Kutztown Road Temple, PA 19560. Andres will be laid to rest at a later date in his native land of Puerto Rico.
