Andres Guzman-Colon

Andrés Guzmán-Colón , 60, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Carmen Velez-Guzmán, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.

Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Andrés Guzmán-Ortiz of Reading and the late Virgenmina Colón. In his youth, Andres excelled as an athlete, playing basketball and running track. He worked as a building superintendent and was a member of Union 32BJ for many years. His most important role was as a husband, father and grandfather.

Andrés is survived by his wife, Carmen; sons, Andrés "Andy" Guzmán (fiancé Nelimarie) of Wernersville and Jondre' Guzmán of Reading; daughters, Angelica Guzmán-Pagan (husband Eddie) and Ariana Guzmán, both of Reading; grandchildren: Penelope, Isabella, Arya'Rose, and Jaxson; sisters, Nelly Guzmán of Reading and Lydia Batista of New York; aunt, Marta Torres and his beloved tenants/friends from Elder Ave.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm in Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 5153 Kutztown Road Temple, PA 19560. Burial will take place at Laureldale Cemetery in Reading.
