Andrea R. Bentz

Andrea Rosina (Riotto) Bentz, 41, of Spring Township, died February 28, 2011 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Paul William Bentz, whom she married June 26, 1993.

Born in Pottsville, PA on June 22, 1969, she was a daughter of Catherine Mary (Tomko) Riotto-Snopeck of Palo Alto, Schuylkill County and the late Andrew Vincent Riotto.

She was a 1987 graduate of Nativity High School and a graduate of Empire Beauty School, both in Pottsville.

Andrea was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Spring Township.

She was employed a number of years as an administrative assistant with Prudential Fox and Roach Real Estate in Blue Bell.

Andrea and her husband Paul, later owned Mr. Bulky Treats & Gifts; Wilkes-Barre.

She was also employed as a teachers aide with the Wilson School District at Green Valley Elementary School, last working November, 2010.

Andrea was active at Spring Ridge Elementary School where she served on the Home & School Association, Hospitality Committee and was a homeroom mother.

She is survived by three children: Matthew P. Bentz, Michael A. Bentz and Lauren E. Bentz, all at home.

Other survivors include four siblings: Vincent J. Riotto of Palo Alto, PA and his companion Jean Towle of Tamaqua, PA; Joseph R., husband of Diane K. (Pinshoch) Riotto of Palo Alto, PA; Michael A., husband of Monique T. (Majka) Riotto of Jamison, Bucks County and Anita M. (Riotto), wife of Rodney L. Wehry of New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Whitfield Blvd & St. Albans Drive. Viewings will be held Friday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Saturday from 9:00 am until time of Mass in the Church.

Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to Citizens Bank, c/o Andrea Bentz Memorial Fund, 70 Commerce Dr, Reading, PA 19610.
