Amy E. Sheetz

Amy E. (Stoudt) Sheetz, 100, formerly of the Episcopal House, Reading, died October 24th at 7:15 am in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township, where she had been since October 3rd.

She was the widow of Charles S. Sheetz, who died November 3, 1967.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Thomas U. and Anna E. (Bucks) Stoudt.

She was a member of Zion's United Church of Christ, Reading.

Sheetz was employed 30 years as a topper at various knitting mills including Rosedale Knitting Mills and Talbott Knitting Mills, Muhlenberg Township.

She served as a volunteer for over 20 years at Berks Heim, Bern Township and volunteered a number of years for Meals-on-Wheels.

Sheetz is survived by a sister, Vera K. (Stoudt) Wert of Spring Township.

Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Dr. Robert G. Aregood officiating. Viewing Thursday 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
