Amy Riegel

Amy Riegel, 79, passed away on April 2, 2025, in the care of Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Rodney Riegel. In June they would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.

Born in Chicago, she was one of the five children of the late John Geisel and Catherine (Dolan).

Amy enjoyed the variety of roles she was exposed to as a temporary staffing agent. She also enjoyed waitressing at Beverly Hills Tavern, the Deluxe Dinner, and the Shillington Restaurant. While working at Arrow International, she and Rodney met, changing both of their lives forever.

Amy and Rodney enjoyed Joyce Meyer Ministries and watched almost every day.

Her memory will be treasured by her devoted husband. She is also survived by her son, William Harrison; step children, Lee Riegel and Teresa Smith, her grandchildren, Samantha Gyorky and Benjamin and Elijah Smith; and her great grandson, Kyrin Riegel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may go to support Mary's Shelter, an organization Amy felt called to support. Their address is 615 Kenhorst Blvd, Reading, PA 19611.
