Amelia K. "Millie" Amadio, 78, died April 10 at 2:19 p.m. in her Wyomissing residence.
Her husband John J. Amadio died March 1, 1995.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Isabella (Valerio) Lachina.
She was employed as a clerk by Danskin Outlet Store, Wyomissing from 1980 to 1994. She was also a Teacher's Aide/ Monotorial Aide for 38 years. First she was an aide at Berkshire Heights Elementary School and later at Spring Ridge Elementary School, last working Monday.
Amadio was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, where she served as an usher. At Sacred Heart she was also a member of Mary's Flock Prayer Cenacle, Respect Life Committee and the Sacred Heart Rosary Group.
She is survived by one son, William J. Amadio, Charlotte, NC and three daughters, Maryann (Amadio) Klick, Mohnton, Theresa (Amadio) Knaub, Shrewsbury, York County and Patricia V. (Amadio) Gordon, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include 3 brothers, Ignatius Lachina and Angelo Lachina both of Reading and John Lachina, Kenhorst. There are three sisters, Connie Lachina, Reading, Lucy (Lachina) Faust, Shillington and Nancy (Lachina) Kerr, Exeter Twp.
There are also 5 grandchildren; Matthew Kelly, Angela Kelly, Laura Ritter, Zachary Klick and Michael Amadio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Sacred Heart R.C.C., West Reading. Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Church. Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Memorial Fund P.O.
