Alonzo A. "Buff" Cook

Alonzo A. "Buff" Cook, 72, of Sinking Spring, passed away May 19, 2018 in the Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Linda L. Conrad-Cook, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Born in Greensboro, SC, he was the son of the late Willie and Mattie Bell (Royan) Cook.

Buff was employed by Hoffman Industries Inc., as a shop steward.

He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church, Reading.

Buff was an avid collector of coins, stamps, and model cars, which he loved building with his son. He also enjoyed listening to jazz and blues music. But most importantly his wife and his family were his world. He was a great person to be around and he left an impression on all who knew him and loved him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Jesse "Doc", husband of Mary Ann Conrad, Reading; 2 siblings, Willie Cook Jr., and Rose Crawl. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jesse B. Conrad III, and Jordan Alexandra Conrad, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with burial to follow at Berks County Memorial Garden. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangments.
