Allen W. Drumheller

Allen Weidner Drumheller, 83, of Laureldale, died October 11th at 7:20 pm in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where he had been since September 11th.

He was the husband of Betty A. (Hartenstine) Drumheller.

Born in Boyertown on October 25, 1922, he was a son of the late Harvey H. and Mae (Weidner) Drumheller.

He was a 1940 graduate of Boyertown High School.

Allen was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was employed for 30 years as a watchmaker by Milton E. Buch, Reading, until 1979.

Allen was later employed 7 1/2 years as a custodian by the Wilson School District and was last employed ten years in the security department of Bob Fisher Chevrolet, Muhlenberg Township, before retiring in 1998.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Allen was a member of the Pikeville Sportsman's Association.

He is also survived by a daughter, Jane C. (Drumheller) Hurley of Leesport and two sons, Michael H. of Hyde Park and David A. of Laureldale.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Grant A. Wickert officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville. www.christfuneralhome.com
