Allen R. Scott

Allen R. Scott, 75, of Bern Twp., passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the beloved husband of Louise (Urbanovich) Scott, who he married February 19, 1966.

Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Rev. Lyle and Charlotte (Jayne) Scott.

Allen was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Bay of Pigs.

He was employed as an electrician with IBEW # 163, working through many contractors until his retirement in 1999.

In addition to his wife Louise, Allen is also survived by two children, John Henry J., husband of Keana C. Scott, Gaithersburg, MD; and Susan C., wife of Don Lynam, Leesport. Two siblings, Judith, wife of Rev. Ladd Harris, and John Whitney, husband of Diane Scott, and two grandchildren, Megan and Jack Lynam also survive him.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, PA is in charge of arrangements.
