Allen R. Schultz

Allen R. Schultz, 84, of Sinking Spring, died December 10, 2014, in the Reading Hospital.

His wife, Rosemarie A. (Rowley) Schultz, died December 21, 2004.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Raymond and Althea (Reinsmith) Schultz.

Allen was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed by Reading Body Works as a production supervisor until retirement.

Allen was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

He enjoyed working and was an avid golfer. Allen devoted his time to the Meals on Wheels program for the American Red Cross alongside his canine companion, Zena. He was a longtime active contributor to the Reading Civic Opera

He is survived by his two children, Gary A. husband of Mary Lou Schultz, Sinking Spring; and Robbyn L. wife of Michael R. Ronco, Robesonia. Also surviving his sister, Larone Daneker, Greenfields; grandchildren, Matthew Kreitz and David Schultz; and great grandchildren, Taydem Copenhaver, Jayse Schultz and Madeline Mary Kreitz.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Edward J Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, with a visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be private in Sinking Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Red Cross, 701 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA, 19601.
