Allen G. Hummel

Allen Grant Hummel, 70, passed away March 8, 2022, in his Reading residence.

Born in Washington, DC on January 1st 1952, he was a son of the late Stanley A. and Jane L. (Seidel)

Hummel.

Allen was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He also served in both the Army Reserves and Army National Guard.

Allen attended Brandywine Heights High School Topton, Pa, Columbia School of

Broadcasting Washington, DC and Kutztown College Kutztown, Pa.

His last two jobs were at Wal-Mart in Temple, Pa and Super Shoes in

Muhlenberg Township.

Allen enjoyed listening to Classic Rock especially Jimi Hendrix and Jazz. He also collected records and

autograph memorabilia.

Allen is survived by four siblings: Cindy Jane widow of Mark Maeder, Dennis Lee Hummel, Susan Bernice, wife of Jeff Almoney, and Bernice Joy Klein; and eight nieces and nephews: Kelly Hummel and Katie (Hummel) Bickel, Matthew Maeder, Jonathan and Justin Williams and Michelle, Lauren, and Nina Klein.

He was predeceased by two siblings, Bernice Jane Hummel and Brian Stanley Hummel.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior

Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading
