Allen W. Cartwright

Allen W. Cartwright, 95, passed away November 7, 2012 in his Wyomissing residence.

His wife, Anna M. (Edinger) Cartwright, died June 20, 2009.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George and Sarah (Weiser) Cartwright.

Allen was an order picker for Glidden Paint, Reading, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of the Flying Dutchmen Model Airplane Club and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.

Allen is survived by his two children: Arthur W., widower of Peggy Ann Cartwright, Reading and Doris E. Cartwright, Wyomissing. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Kim Klemped, Lori Puwalski and Michael Cartwright; six great-grandchildren: Heather, Scott, Matthew, Emily, Zack and Lauren and two great-great grandchildren: Austin and Aiden.

He was predeceased by his three siblings: James, George and Elizabeth.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
