Alice M. Straka

Alice M. Straka, 54, formerly of Reading, died of natural causes Nov. 16 at 2:52 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient three weeks.

She was taken to the hospital from ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stephen J. and Catherine (Mason) Straka.

Straka was employed for several years as a baker by Moore's Restaurant, Reading, and was last employed by Rickel's Hardware Store, Cumru Township.

She was a graduate of Reading High School.

Straka was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Surviving are a son, Patrick T., Carlisle, Cumberland County; and a daughter, Lisa M. Straka, Reading.

Other survivors include a brother, Stephen P. Straka, and a sister, Stephanie R. (Straka) Kaczor, both of Reading.

There are also three grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Church. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
