Alice A. Rissmiller

Alice A. Rissmiller, 92, Hamburg died February 6 in The Schuylkill Center, Pottsville where she resided since April 2005. She was the widow of Charles Rissmiller who died July 29, 1970. She was born in Greenwich Township and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lizzie (Freed) Wink. Alice was a homemaker most of her life, but worked part time for the Borough of Hamburg (police department) and the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. Alice is survived by two daughters, Marie A. (Rissmiller)wife of Charles Brobst, Anchorage, Alaska, and Nancy L.(Rissmiller) wife of Ronald Hulet, Hamburg, three sons: Robert D. husband of Bonnie Rissmiller, Tilden Township, Clarence L. husband of Carol Rissmiller, Lansdale and Richard C. husband of Marie Rissmiller, Perry Township, 14 grandchildren and 22 great granchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12 at 11:00 AM in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ, Third and Pine Streets, Hamburg,PA 19526.
