Alice M. Bard

Alice M. Bard, 94, of West Reading, passed away December 23, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, LeRoy B. Bard, Sr., died November 8, 1974.

Born May 15, 1920 in Boyertown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Haas) Spresser.

She owned a cleaning business for over 50 years, retiring in 2004.

Alice was a member of St. James Church, West Reading, where she sang with the choir.

She is survived by her children: LeRoy B. Bard, Jr., Cedar Township; and Russell, husband of Beverly A. Bard, St. Lawrence. Also surviving are her nieces: Shirley Whitmoyer and Mildred Maurer, both of Reading; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
