Alice M. Kirn

Alice Mae (Kemery) Kirn, 80, of Lower Alsace Township, died June 2, 2007 at 7:18 p.m. in her residence.

She was the wife of J. Ralph Kirn Sr., whom she married May 25, 1946.

Born October 17, 1926 in Hometown, PA, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Minnie P. (Foose) Kemery.

Alice was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oley.

She worked as a Layout Operator for AT&T, Muhlenberg Township, for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

Alice is also survived by a daughter, Sandra L.(Kirn), wife of Kenneth W. Levan, of Lower Alsace Township and a son, John R. Jr., husband of Sandra L. (Hobwood) Kirn of Wernersville.

Other survivors include three brothers, Roy Kemery of Reading, Earl Kemery of Laureldale and Ralph E. Kemery of Fleetwood and a sister, Edith (Kemery) Donton of Arkansas.

There are also two grandchildren, Valerie M. Levan, Chicago and Benjamin J. Kirn, Ephrata.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 325 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547 with the Rev. Robert P. Mitchell Jr. officiating.
