Alice K. Conrad

Alice K. Conrad, 98, of Oley, died March 4, 2013 in Heartstone at Amity.

She was married to the late Earl R. Conrad.

Born in Pike Township, she was a daughter to the late Irvin and Lillian Kieffer.

Alice was employed as a sewing machine operator with Deven Knitting Mill of Eshbach, PA for 50 years, retiring in June, 1985.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Alice enjoyed cooking, sewing and baking for her family. Gardening and Sunday night suppers were also very special to her.

She is survived by her three children: Larry E., husband of Anna Conrad, Oley; Betty R., widow of Albert Sheetz, Barto and Shirley M., widow of Harold Hausman, Oley.

Other survivors include her brother, Gary Hartman, Reading and sisters: Grace Redcay, Ephrata; Mildred Reber, Wernersville; and Mary Gummo, Jersey Shore, PA.

Five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive her.

Alice was predeceased by her siblings: George Keiffer, Lester Keiffer, Elmer Hartman, Ralph Hartman, Mable Mersinger, Amy Himmelreich, Christine Bingaman and Sarah Dautrich.

Services will be Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, Inc. 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lobachsville Cemetery, Pike Township.
