Alice C. Epler

Alice C. Epler, 85, died October 13 at 4:05 a.m. in her residence in West Reading, PA.

Her husband Morris J. Epler, Jr. died January 5, 1993.

Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Earl and Elsie (Nelms) Conrad. She also had a step-mother Hilda B. (Brown) Conrad.

She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Congregational Church, Shillington, PA.

Epler was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School in 1938.

She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #251. She was a life time member and a member of the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, Reading. She was also a Campfire Leader for 10 years in the West Reading School District.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Alice (Epler) Disch wife of Harry N. Disch, Sr., Kennedale, TX. Other survivors include one brother Willard Conrad, Sinking Spring, PA and one grandson, Matthew J. Disch and his wife Leslie E. Disch.

Epler was predeceased by one brother Richard Conrad.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10:30 in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Salvation Army 301 South 5th Street Reading, PA 19601.
